METRO MOBILITY SERVICES

Metro Mobility is a shared ride public transportation service for certified riders who are unable to use regular fixed-route buses due to a disability or health condition. Trips are provided for any purpose. You will need to complete a two-part Application/Certification form to get started and a form needs to be signed by your physician.

Anoka County Medlink coordinates volunteers who generously give their time and vehicle to provide rides to Anoka County residents. To be eligible you must be one of the following: A Veteran, a Senior Citizen over the age of 60 years old, or a resident of Anoka County. Transportation is provided to medical clinics throughout the Twin Cities region. This includes Veterans Administration medical facilities in St. Cloud and Anoka County Government Offices (for clients). Passengers must be able to travel independently as volunteers are unable to provide assistance. Medlink is only able to provide one ride request per week per passenger due to driver shortage.

Provides a variety of free services to veterans and active duty military service members, including walk-up counseling, recreational opportunities and more.
In January 2023, VA will launch a new program offering, Veterans Affairs Life Insurance (VALife), which provides guaranteed acceptance of whole-life insurance coverage to Veterans ages 80 and under with any level of a service-connected disability.
Since 1957, if you had military service earnings for active duty (including active duty for training), you may have extra Social Security wage credits added to your earnings record.
VA Over 55 Rule:
Based on the results of the exam, your disability rating may increase, decrease, or stay the same. Once you turn 55, you are typically “protected” and will no longer have to attend an exam to prove that your condition has not changed unless there is reason to suspect fraud.
